Privacy Policy

What This Privacy Policy Covers

This policy covers how Snapjoy, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Snapjoy," "we," "us," or "our") treats personal information that it collects and receives on Snapjoy.com or through our service. This notice tells you what information we collect, how we use and share information, and how you can contact us with questions or concerns.

General Information

We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, and information volunteered by the consumer (such as survey information and/or site registrations). The information we collect is used to improve the content of our Web pages and the quality of our service, and is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes, except to provide products or services you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

  • It is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law.
  • We transfer information about you if Snapjoy is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Snapjoy will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Information Gathering and Usage

Over the course of using Snapjoy, the following kinds of information may be collected:

  • Login credentials – When you sign up for Snapjoy, we ask you for your email address and a password. We use this information for the purpose of ensuring only you have access to your account.
  • Third party authentication – When you add a service to Snapjoy, we use a technology called OAuth to authorize Snapjoy to access that account. OAuth is a secure protocol that gives us access to your data without actually giving us your password. You can revoke OAuth access either within Snapjoy or within the third party service.
  • Third party data – For each of the services you authorize Snapjoy to access, we make periodic data requests from that service. This allows us to store, index, and organize your media. Data collected may include attachments, photos, videos, profile information, and contacts.
  • Cookies – We use cookies to keep you logged in, when you choose. A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier, that is sent to your browser from a web site’s computers and stored on your computer’s hard drive.

Snapjoy uses collected information for the following general purposes: products and services provision, billing, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact, and research.

Complete Control

We believe you should have total control over your data. This means you can delete your data at any time.

  • Sharing and permissions – You can specify whether or not you want each of your photos to be accessible to the public, accessible to a select few, or private (only you can access them when logged into your Snapjoy account). If you restrict photo access to a select few people, these people may copy and re-share these photos without your consent. You may revoke public or restricted access to your photos at any time.
  • Update or delete information – You can delete individual photos that you have on Snapjoy by selecting the photos that you wish to delete, then clicking the trash button. Or you can delete groups of photos using batch operations. Visit your Snapjoy account information area to edit your profile.

Data Storage

Snapjoy uses third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run Snapjoy. Although Snapjoy owns the code, databases, and all rights to the Snapjoy application, you retain all rights to your data.

Disclosure

Snapjoy may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the Terms of Service.

Changes

Snapjoy may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your Snapjoy primary account holder account or by placing a prominent notice on our site. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
